Port Botany Closures | NSW Severe Weather | April 2015
Please be advised New South Wales is experiencing adverse weather conditions including extreme rainfall and wind gusts of 135km/h forcing closures at Port Botany, Sydney.
Once the terminals re-open we will be making every effort to minimise the effect on operations, but delays will be unavoidable. Please pay extra attention to your dates to avoid any additional detention charges. At this stage we are assuming the empty container parks will re assess early tomorrow morning.
As mentioned in my previous email, any trucks that arrived at the Port and were not serviced will incur futile trip charges. We will be forced to utilise this weekend to catch up. Unfortunately we will be charging weekend surcharges for everything collected from or delivered to the Port this weekend. We also accept no responsibility for empty container detention charges that are affected by this rare weather event.
Our Operations team are doing their best to re schedule all missed time slots and deliveries. Your patience is appreciated. Delivery times over the next few days and into next week will be difficult to keep while we recover from the issues of this week.
We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time and please be assured that our team are focused on delivering the best possible service that the circumstances allow.
